This is infact a frequently asked question by my customers. They all seem confused by all possible combinations for building Oracle RAC clusters on pseries servers.
I decided to summarize all these possible options. In one of my coming posts , i will try to summarize pros and cons for each possible combination.

Oracle 10.2.0.4 AIX 5.3/AIX 6.1 + Oracle Clusterware 10.2.0.4 + GPFS 3.2
Oracle 10.2.0.2 AIX 5.2/5.3 + Oracle Clusterware 10.2.0.2 + GPFS 2.3
Oracle 10.2.0.4 AIX 5.3/AIX 6.1 + Oracle Clusterware 10.2.0.4 + Oracle ASM
OR
Oracle 10.2.0.4 + AIX 5.3 +HACMP 5L + GPFS 2.3
Oracle 9.2 + AIX 5.2/5.3 + HACMP 5L + GPFS 2.3
